Shane Wood - Managing Director
I started Information Power back in 1993. In the early days we were doing data integration and programming. 1997 was a watershed year when we picked up a small, but progressive client that gave us significant projects – I knew then we had market traction. That client is now almost a 100-million dollar company and a significant player in the New Zealand healthcare industry, with global aspirations. And like many of our clients they are still with us today.
Our people are our biggest asset. They are all multi-skilled because of the diversity of IT. Some of our people have been with us for so many years and learned to be generalists – something that our clients constantly benefit from.
We are a family here at InfoPower. Everyone is valued for their unique contribution and the relationships that they form. Similarly, clients that have worked with us over the years become part of the family and close friends. We genuinely care about them and making their businesses successful.
My overarching passion is about people and being able to solve problems with solutions that have longevity.
Being around for over 20 years means InfoPower always has to stay relevant, keep the team energised with people with new skills, and constantly think outside the square.
Our partners (Xero and Microsoft) are important to us and are part of the community we have built around us to make sure that we always remain in the forefront of IT thinking, for example with respect of the Cloud and mobility.
